Skeena River Salmon Enhancement Program

The Prince Rupert Port Authority has established a Skeena River Salmon Enhancement program to partner with local organizations by providing financial support for projects that increase salmon stock productivity and the maintenance and rehabilitation of critical habitat in the Skeena River Watershed. A healthy Skeena River salmon population is vital to the entire northwest region. Its importance to the economic, environmental, social and cultural fabric of our communities, in particular First Nations peoples, has justified its inclusion as a focus for PRPA’s community investment. To be eligible, applicants/project proponents must be located in the Prince Rupert area or in the Skeena River Watershed.
