Rising Tide
The Prince Rupert Port Authority believes that supporting youth in sports, education, arts, and culture is essential to fostering a strong, vibrant, and resilient community.
The Rising Tide program empowers youth to explore new activities, discover their interests, and build confidence through achievement and success.
We recognize the important role that community groups and organizations play in offering these opportunities. Organizations whose mandates include sport, education, arts, or culture are encouraged to apply.
This program donates financially to community programs that provide opportunity for youth to participate in sports, education, performing arts, and culture, up to $1000 maximum per organization, per calendar year.
Rising Tide Criteria:
-Programs must be primarily for youth aged 5-18
-Programs must be operated by not-for-profit societies. School-based activities are not eligible
-The majority of the program’s participants are living in Prince Rupert or surrounding Indigenous communities
