La zost\u00e8re marine est une esp\u00e8ce commune d&rsquo;herbier marin qui peut <strong>former de vastes prairies sous-marines<\/strong>, \u00e9galement connues sous le nom d&rsquo;herbiers de zost\u00e8res. Ces herbiers de zost\u00e8res sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme d&rsquo;importants ing\u00e9nieurs de l&rsquo;\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me, cr\u00e9ant avec leurs feuilles une structure tridimensionnelle complexe qui profite aux esp\u00e8ces marines et aux \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes c\u00f4tiers dans leur ensemble.<\/p>\n\n<p>La zost\u00e8re marine est un <strong>excellent moyen de renforcer la sant\u00e9 des sols, car<\/strong> elle est tr\u00e8s riche en nutriments ! Il joue un r\u00f4le tr\u00e8s important dans l&rsquo;\u00e9limination du dioxyde de carbone de l&rsquo;eau de mer, ce qui le rend tr\u00e8s utile pour pr\u00e9venir l&rsquo;acidification de l&rsquo;eau (qui menace la survie des mollusques et du plancton au bas de la cha\u00eene alimentaire).<\/p>\n\n<p>Comment identifier la zost\u00e8re marine : La zost\u00e8re marine est une esp\u00e8ce d&rsquo;herbier p\u00e9renne. Ses tiges ramifi\u00e9es et aplaties atteignent 2,5 m de long et portent des lames altern\u00e9es de couleur vert terne. Ces lames atteignent 1,2 m de long et 12 mm de large, ont des extr\u00e9mit\u00e9s arrondies et sont marqu\u00e9es par 3 \u00e0 7 nervures longitudinales.
