Northland Cruise Terminal: Cruise Passenger Landing

The cruise passenger gateway into a pristine wilderness adventure. This facility consists of a system of 8 mooring/breasting dolphins with a floating dock mid-ship. The berth is connected to the terminal via a 150 foot, two part passenger boarding system indexed to tide range to accommodate <10% grade. The 4,000 square foot terminal building accommodates Canada Customs and Immigration operations for foreign arrivals. The terminal accommodates vessels of up to 300 meters (960 ft.) in length and 15 meters (50 ft.) in draft. A 45 meter floating platform provides for ease of passenger transfer from the ship to a 70 meter gangway in constant adjustment to the tide. A terminal building provides Customs and Immigration services.

The Northland Dock is located centrally on the Prince Rupert waterfront, within easy walking distance of museums and the historic downtown shopping area. Tours available range from kayaking and heli tours to excursions to native communities and nature viewing. The range of eco-tourism options is wide enough to fill every interest.
